Principle Investigator
Dr. Weber graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in Biochemistry in 2000. She completed a combined MD/PhD program at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 2009. Her graduate thesis focused on the molecular design of integrating viral vectors to reduce oncogenesis. She then completed residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at USC, pausing her medical training for three years for a postdoc to study tissue engineering of human hair follicles. She finished her medical training with a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. As a practicing hand surgeon, her current research interests involve peripheral nerve regeneration.
